Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Senior Voice Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and management of advanced voice communication systems within our IT infrastructure. Experience
- Proven experience in designing and managing enterprise-level IT infrastructure with a focus on computer networking principles such as routing protocols (OSPF, EIGRP, BGP), TCP/IP stack management, DHCP/DNS configuration, and network architecture planning.
- Extensive hands-on experience working with Cisco networking equipment including routers (Cisco routers), switches (Catalyst series), ASA firewalls, Meraki devices, Juniper equipment is highly desirable.
- Strong background in VoIP technologies such as Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), Cisco Voice gateways; familiarity with SIP trunking and QoS (Quality of Service) configurations.
- Demonstrated expertise in cloud security platforms like Azure or AWS; experience with virtualization environments including VMware vSphere or Citrix is preferred.
- Knowledge of operating systems including Windows Server (Active Directory), Linux distributions (Ubuntu, CentOS, Debian), BSD variants; experience with system administration tasks is essential.
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation; experience with network monitoring tools like SolarWinds or PRTG is advantageous.
- Understanding of network security concepts including PKI management, LDAP integration for authentication purposes; ability to perform vulnerability assessments using Splunk or similar tools.
- Experience supporting telecommunication systems in high availability environments; knowledge of SAN/NFS storage solutions; proficiency in implementing load balancing strategies for voice traffic.
- Strong grasp of ITIL best practices for service management; experience working within Agile development frameworks enhances collaboration across teams.
