Responsibilities
- Perform thorough cleaning of guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, and public areas following established standards and procedures
- Handle various cleaning agents and chemicals safely, adhering to safety data sheets (SDS) and industry best practices
- Conduct floor care activities such as vacuuming, mopping, and carpet cleaning to maintain pristine surfaces
- Manage heavy lifting tasks involving linens, furniture, and cleaning equipment with proper manual handling techniques
- Follow hotel emergency procedures promptly and efficiently in case of incidents or safety concerns
- Maintain cleanliness of all assigned areas while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
- Support hotel housekeeping management by reporting maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly
Requirements
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping, janitorial work, or industrial cleaning environments is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques, custodial practices, and hotel housekeeping management systems
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely and responsibly while maintaining a clean working environment
- Physical stamina for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks required for maintaining high standards of cleanliness
- Knowledge of hotel emergency procedures and safety protocols to ensure guest and staff safety at all times
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills in managing multiple cleaning tasks efficiently
- Previous hospitality experience is preferred but not mandatory; a positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential
