Risk Manager – Children’s

Location: Brewster, MA
Compensation: $65,000-$75,000 annually (based on experience)
Schedule: Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:00pm

Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology, Education, Healthcare Administration, Risk Management, or a related field preferred (equivalent experience considered)
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working with children or adolescents with complex special needs, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or residential/educational programming preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience with incident review, quality improvement, compliance, investigations, documentation audits, or corrective action tracking preferred
- Valid driver's license
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification
- CPR/First Aid certification
- Strong computer and data management skills
- Ability to analyze trends, maintain confidential information, and communicate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate preparation for weekly Children's Services risk meetings by organizing data, identifying trends, and tracking follow-up actions
- Monitor and analyze incidents involving safety, behavioral concerns, medication errors, restraints, hospitalizations, elopements, and other high-risk events
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and regulatory compliance
- Coach staff and supervisors on documentation standards and best practices
- Collaborate with Clinical, Nursing, Education, Residential, Human Resources, Training, and Program Operations teams to identify and address risk trends
- Track corrective actions and ensure timely completion of follow-up items
- Support readiness for EEC, DESE, DCF, and other regulatory reviews
- Serve as the Therap Administrator for the Children's Program
- Support camera monitoring implementation and review footage for incident investigations as appropriate
- Prepare reports and trend analyses to support leadership decision-making and quality improvement initiatives
- Present Children's Services risk data during agency-wide quarterly risk management meetings
- Assist with policy development, workflow improvements, and staff education related to risk management and compliance
