Overview
The CFO serves as the senior financial leader of MISI, overseeing all financial operations, fiscal strategy, compliance, and reporting. This role partners directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to ensure MISI's financial health and sustainability while meeting DHCS, Managed Care Plan (MCP), and federal regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do
- Direct accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Oversee accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger operations
- Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury functions
- Lead financial strategy and modeling for new programs, contracts, and expansion
- Oversee CalAIM billing operations, claims, and MCP invoicing
- Ensure compliance with DHCS, 42 CFR Part 438, and applicable federal/state regulations
- Oversee financial administration of MCP contracts and government grants
- Lead and develop the finance and accounting team
- Present financial reports and analysis to the Board of Directors
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- CPA required
- 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience
- Healthcare, behavioral health, or nonprofit human services experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of Medi-Cal, CalAIM, DHCS, and 42 CFR compliance requirements
- Proven track record managing and developing finance teams
Nice to Have
- MBA or Master's in Finance, Accounting, or related field
- Experience with CalAIM Community Supports or MCP contracts
- Government grants and contract compliance experience
- Familiarity with FQHC, behavioral health, or housing services billing
