Marketing Communications Manager Radius Gallery – 2026

Position Overview: Radius Gallery seeks a creative, forward-thinking Marketing Communications Manager to join our small but mighty team. The position is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and communications initiatives that elevate Radius Gallery’s visibility and further engage our community. The chosen candidate will assess our current strategies and move us forward to new growth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art, have strong writing and storytelling skills, and have solid marketing experience. The position is primarily full-time, although we are open to flexible schedules for experienced candidates seeking a .75 work schedule. The role may occasionally require late evenings when we host public and private events. We require someone who is authentically and demonstrably interested in and energized by the local art scene.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing Strategy and Execution
- Assess and further develop Radius Gallery’s existing marketing tools (newsletters, campaign letters, ads, and other outreach materials) to promote the gallery’s exhibitions, programs, and events and enhance the gallery's overall visibility and viability.
- Manage the organization’s digital presence, including email marketing campaigns and social media strategies; manage the social media coordinator.
- Suggest and compose compelling content for newsletters and publishing opportunities.
- Coordinate conversations with artists for marketing upcoming exhibits.
- Manage and analyze key metrics and report meaningful findings quarterly and annually.
- Refine marketing strategies for the local, regional, and national arts markets.
· Understand and support the gallery’s goals, values, and mission to cultivate a vibrant and sustainable arts economy in Missoula and the region.
Communications and Branding
· Develop impactful storytelling strategies to effectively communicate Radius Gallery's mission, vision, and impact.
· Schedule, strategize, and implement campaigns for our various collector audiences.
· Maintain consistent branding across all materials to ensure alignment with Radius Gallery’s mission and values.
· Draft and distribute press and promotional materials to local and national media outlets.
· Build and maintain relationships with media contacts throughout the region.
· Serve as media contact for public inquiries.
Community Engagement and Events
· Help us fulfill our mission to connect people with art, not only for home decoration but for the greater enrichment of our lives and communities.
· Coordinate promotional efforts for events, openings, and other public programs.
· Develop and distribute marketing materials for local and regional audiences.
· Develop metrics to understand and further develop Radius Gallery’s role in the region.
Data and Analytics
· Assess the effectiveness of our efforts using existing software analytics tools; track and analyze standard marketing metrics.
· Develop and present quarterly marketing reports.
· Project a quarterly budget for advertising and marketing assets.
Qualifications
· 3+ years’ experience in marketing that required a good deal of strategic writing.
· Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or equivalent experience.
Skills and Knowledge
- Demonstrated management experience, preferably in marketing or development.
- Demonstrated writing, editing, and nuanced storytelling skills for varied audiences.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Comfortable proficiency with digital marketing tools, including social media platforms, email marketing software, and website management systems.
- Willingness to take initiative and solve problems independently.
- Demonstrate a collaborative spirit while working within and between teams.
- Graphic design experience in Adobe Creative Suite and Canva preferred.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/PowerPoint/Excel) and Google Suite.
Compensation
$22.50/hr - $25.00/hr to start, depending on managerial experience. Benefits include health insurance, company-matched IRA, holiday pay, employee discount, and 40 hours of PTO after the first year (PTO increases with tenure).
