Your Role on Our Team
Are you a motivated team player who thrives in a fast-paced, pet-loving environment? We’re looking for a dynamic, organized, and and team focused Veterinary Technician to help support our veterinary team in Woodstock, CT
Working collaboratively with the Practice Manager and Lead Technician, you will:
- Assist veterinarians in medical procedures and surgeries
- Perform laboratory tests and analyze results
- Administer medications and treatments as directed by the veterinarian
- Handle and restrain animals during examinations and procedures
- Conduct X-rays and assist in diagnostic imaging procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records of patients
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and treatment protocols
What You Bring
- Experience in veterinary healthcare, and customer service setting preferred.
- Proficiency in animal anatomy, handling, and husbandry
- Proficiency in anesthesia and patient monitoring desired.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities
- Excellent communication, and conflict-resolution abilities.
- A solutions-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
- Knowledge of veterinary workflows, critical care and medical terminology.
What You Need
- Must have a minimum of 1 year experience in a Veterinary Practice.
- CVT preferred but not required with appropriate experience.
- Must have reliable transportation and be able to work a flexible, full time schedule.
