Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Elementary General Studies Teacher with a strong emphasis in mathematics to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will create individualized, learner-centered environments that empower students across all areas of learning while cultivating strong mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and academic confidence. - Foster mathematical reasoning, number sense, problem-solving, and critical thinking through meaningful and engaging learning experiences.
- Utilize in-depth knowledge of content and assessment techniques to engage learners effectively and monitor student growth.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of all students.
- Promote student agency and ownership of learning, employing whole-child instructional strategies.
- Maintain an open, welcoming classroom, fostering a positive and collaborative experience for students, families, and visitors.
- Contribute actively to the growth of Tamim Academy, engaging in the broader life of the school and taking on additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education or a related field (preferred).
- Prior classroom teaching experience, particularly in elementary education.
- Strong mathematics content knowledge and a passion for helping students develop confidence and competence in math.
- Experience creating whole-child learning experiences and fostering social-emotional growth.
- Passion for engaging children in student-driven learning.
- Commitment to continuous professional growth and a collaborative mindset.
