We are a personal injury firm local to Fort Worth. However, this job is completely remote and so you can reside anywhere within Texas to apply.
This position is not a fast paced-high volume position where the workload would be high and unmanageable. Rather, in order to promote flawless execution, the position is low volume with you being expected to manage discovery on roughly 30 cases annually.
Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Discovery Attorney to join our legal team. The Discovery Attorney plays a vital role in maintaining the integrity and accuracy of pleasings, ensuring relevant discovery is properly pursued and obtained, and assisting in strategizing the collection of additional evidence and coordination with experts. Supporting our commitment to justice and excellence in legal practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage the pursuit and collection of evidence through the use of Discovery Requests.
- Appear and handle discovery hearings regarding motions to compel evidence that has not been produced In response to discovery request.
- Conduct discovery conferences with opposing council regarding the production of documents requested
- Ocassionally handle a deposition or mediations, a few a year, with guidance instruction from the senior attorney.
- Occasional motion practice, very infrequently and on an as needed basis.
This is a great position for an older attorney looking to slow down, someone looking for part time work, or a young attorney looking to grow at your own pace as an attorney while getting exposed to some of the finer details of litigation.
Pay range is between $80,000.00 to $130,000.00, depending on prior experience.
Training and guidance will be provided, you will not be expected to learn by yourself and will be given guidance and a structured environment to grow as an attorney.
The position is remote however, if you are in the DFW area, a dedicated office space can be provided.
Pay: $79,928.36 - $134,795.44 per year
