American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN with STEMI, vascular, and cardiac device experience for a 13-week travel contract in Raleigh, NC.

Invasive Heart & Vascular unit within a hospital setting, focused on invasive diagnostics and interventional care for heart and vascular disease
-
Handles both elective and emergent, minimally invasive cardiac and vascular procedures
-
Experience required with STEMI, vascular procedures, cardiac devices (Impella, IABP), and complex IV drips including vasopressors
-
Day shift, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, rotating days of the week

36 hours per week, three 12-hour shifts
-
Weekday coverage runs 7:00 AM – 9:30 PM; weekend coverage runs 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, with after-hours on-call support

Call rotation includes 1–2 weeknights per week and one call weekend every third weekend

Holiday coverage required on an as-needed basis

Active RN license in North Carolina or a Compact RN license accepted

Current BLS certification from AHA or ARC required

Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required

Cath Lab experience required, including STEMI, vascular procedures, Impella, IABP, and complex vasopressor drips

Nursing Diploma or ADN/ASN from an accredited nursing school required; BSN or MSN preferred

Two professional references required for consideration

Provides clinical nursing care for patients undergoing invasive cardiac and vascular procedures, both elective and emergent

Responsible for patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team

Performs bedside point-of-care testing and manages complex IV drip protocols as part of the patient care plan

Anticipates and addresses discharge planning needs for patients with complex conditions
-
Drug screen must be completed within 24 hours of commitment; allow at least 2 weeks for background check and drug screen results to be returned
