Job Overview
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Hotel Maintenance Engineer to ensure the seamless operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning), and other building systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair issues related to electrical systems, including wiring, circuit breakers, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical components.
- Conduct welding and residential painting tasks as needed to maintain the property's appearance and structural integrity.
- Use tools such as ohmmeters to diagnose electrical faults accurately and ensure safety standards are met.
- Manage facilities maintenance requests using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to track work orders and maintenance history.
- Supervise or assist with subcontractors during specialized repairs or renovations while ensuring quality standards are maintained.
- Oversee safety protocols related to electrical work, welding, and other maintenance activities; ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Lead small teams or supervise maintenance staff to coordinate daily tasks efficiently while fostering a culture of safety and excellence.
- Assist with manufacturing or technical projects within the hotel’s operational scope when required.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns related to facility issues promptly and professionally.
Experience
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or hotel engineering roles with a strong background in mechanical, electrical, or plumbing systems.
- Hands-on knowledge of schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ohmmeters, and other diagnostic tools essential for electrical troubleshooting.
- Experience in welding, residential painting, or general carpentry is highly desirable.
- Supervising or leadership experience in a maintenance environment is preferred; ability to coordinate teams effectively.
- Familiarity with CMMS platforms for work order management and maintenance tracking is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills to address diverse technical challenges swiftly.
- Excellent communication skills in English to clearly document issues, instruct team members, and interact with guests professionally.
