Keepwell Storage is currently seeking a part-time Assistant Manager for our Melbourne, Florida facility. The Assistant Manager (AM) supports the Store Manager (SM) in all aspects of facility operations and serves as the acting manager in the SM's absence. This is a customer-facing, hourly role that combines sales, administrative work, and light property maintenance. Weekend availability is required. This position is an excellent entry point into a self-storage management career.

- Basic math skills and accuracy with cash handling and payment processing
- Willingness to learn property management software from scratch

- Able to work independently and make sound decisions when the SM is off-site
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred
- Valid Florida driver's license preferred
Position Responsibilities - Daily
- Welcome customers at the front desk, answer phone calls, and respond to web inquiries
- Assist customers with rental agreements, access questions, and payment processing
- Conduct move-in walkthroughs and unit inspections for new customers
- Collect and post daily payments; assist in reconciling the end-of-day register
- Perform property walkthroughs to check cleanliness, lighting, and security
- Place overlocks on delinquent units as directed by the SM
- Sell retail items including locks, boxes, and packing tape
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness of the office and restrooms
Position Responsibilities - Weekly
- Assist with delinquency follow-up calls and collection letters under SM supervision
- Audit unit doors and latches during weekly property inspection
- Prepare rental files and documentation for new and vacated units
- Assist the SM with inventory counts and supply ordering
- Cover SM shifts and assume full site responsibility when SM is off
Schedule & Weekend Availablity
The Assistant Manager will work approximately 15-20 hours per week, primarily on weekends. Weekend shifts are a standard part of this role. Typical hours align with facility operating hours (e.g., 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM Monday–Saturday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM Sunday).

Dress Code
Assistant Managers are customer-facing at all times and must present a neat, professional appearance consistent with the company brand. Dress requirements include:
- Company-branded polo or t-shirt (provided; minimum 2 shirts upon hire)
- Clean khaki, dark, or gray pants; neat jeans acceptable if SM-approved
- Closed-toe, non-slip footwear required (property includes outdoor and concrete surfaces)
- Hair should be clean and neatly groomed; hats limited to company-branded caps outdoors
- Name badge must be worn and visible at all times while on duty
