In this role, you will combine artistic sensibility with precise technical skills to create custom frames that enhance and protect valuable pieces.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble custom frames using a variety of materials, tools, and techniques to meet specific client needs and artwork specifications
- Apply matting, glazing, backing, and mounting techniques
- Collaborate with clients to select appropriate framing styles, colors, and materials based on artwork type and aesthetic preferences
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols during all framing processes
Qualifications
- Willingness to learn color theory, layout design, and visual design principles relevant to art presentation
- Strong attention to detail with excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Must have able to interact with customers and make them feel comfortable
