Accounting Manager
Contract Assignment — 8+ Months
Overview
We're seeking an experienced accounting leader to assist our client for at least the next 7 months. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, manage a team of four, and ensure accurate, timely financial reporting while maintaining strong internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support a team of four accounting professionals, providing daily guidance and oversight
- Ensure daily deadlines are consistently met across the accounting function
- Prepare and review weekly reports for leadership
- Approve balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
- Oversee sales and inventory reporting, ensuring data integrity and consistency with financial records
- Lead and manage the month-end close process, coordinating across the team to meet deadlines
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5-7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior people management
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end close procedures
- Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and reporting in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to step in and lead a team quickly
- Comfortable working in an interim or contract capacity, with the ability to ramp up quickly and hit the ground running
Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
