What You'll Do
- Answer incoming calls and book rides in accordance with demand response programs, including Medicaid NEMT and general public demand response
- Respond to inquiries from the general public in a friendly, compassionate manner
- Support Broker Services department staff as needed
- Assist the Broker Services Manager with volunteer driver coordination and scheduling
- Learn and work simultaneously across multiple software programs and screens
- Handle a high volume of calls in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy environment while maintaining focus and accuracy
- Perform other duties as assigned
What You Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Two (2)+ years of customer service experience; call-center experience a plus
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent verbal communication and active listening skills
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage multiple competing priorities
- A positive attitude, high level of professionalism, and commitment to confidentiality (including HIPAA requirements)
- Comfort working with a diverse population and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Google products or ability to learn quickly. Familiarity with transit route software a plus.
- Ability to sit for extended periods at a computer while answering frequent phone calls
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 15 lbs., climb stairs, and stand
