American Traveler is seeking a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with pediatric critical care experience for a night shift position at a children's hospital in Oklahoma City, OK.

Respiratory Care department at an academic medical center with a dedicated children's hospital

Pediatric patient population across all appropriate age levels

Night shift, 8 hours per day, 5 days per week (40 hours/week)

Graduation from an approved Respiratory Care Program

RRT credential required (must be received within 12 months of hire)

Licensed by the Oklahoma Board of Medical Licensure and Supervision as a Respiratory Care Practitioner (license required if applicable)

Minimum 1 year of respiratory care experience; 2+ years in a critical care setting preferred

Previous experience in a children's-only hospital preferred

BLS (AHA) required upon hire

ACLS (AHA) required within 3 months of hire

All certifications must be issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Date of birth required for consideration

Administer therapeutic treatments as prescribed by attending medical staff and document patient responses in the electronic medical record

Perform invasive and noninvasive diagnostic testing and monitoring

Serve as a resource to medical staff and participate in the quick response team for cardiac and respiratory arrests

Ensure respiratory equipment is properly cleaned and maintained

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible
-
Workers who have previously completed a contract at this facility must have a 6-month separation period before being eligible to apply again; extensions are permitted only once for a total of 26 weeks

This facility has strict compliance deadlines and will not accommodate start date changes for non-compliant travelers
