MACH Academy, Inc. is a nonprofit organization serving Augusta-Richmond County youth through health, wellness, education, tennis, and life skills programming. MACH Academy works primarily with youth from low- to moderate-income households and uses structured sports-based youth development, academic enrichment, technology exposure, and positive mentorship to support long-term growth. Through the Coach Across America AmeriCorps VISTA program, this role will support anti-poverty efforts by building simple, sustainable systems that help MACH Academy expand program access and improve organizational capacity. This is a capacity-building position and does not include direct service, coaching, instruction, or supervision of youth. The VISTA will help develop a basic outreach and communications system, create reusable templates, improve enrollment and follow-up tracking, and build simple data tools to document participation and impact. The objectives are intentionally modest and reachable, including improved tracking, at least two impact summaries, and a small increase in documented inquiries, engagement, or retention tracking. This position is ideal for a candidate interested in nonprofit operations, community health, youth development, communications, and impact reporting. The VISTA will gain practical experience building systems that remain useful beyond the service year.
