Duties
- Safely operate box trucks with manual transmission to deliver goods across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts, ensuring proper handling and securement
- Conduct pre-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and readiness before each shift
- Follow planned routes efficiently, adhering to traffic laws and delivery schedules
- Provide exceptional customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries
- Assist with warehouse tasks including moving inventory, organizing shipments, and maintaining accurate delivery logs
- Maintain cleanliness and basic maintenance of the truck to ensure optimal performance
Skills
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on route driving and heavy lifting
- Strong knowledge of commercial driving regulations and safety procedures for box trucks
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely
- Physical stamina for manual lifting, moving heavy items, and prolonged driving periods
- Familiarity with warehouse environments and inventory management processes
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience with <PERSON> driver certifications preferred
- Ability to follow detailed instructions, work independently, and adapt to changing schedules
