Join Our Team
Life Bridges is seeking a compassionate, organized, and energetic Assistant Program Coordinator to support our Senior Center Plus Day Program. This position plays a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for older adults, including individuals living with dementia, by helping deliver engaging programs, providing administrative support, and creating a welcoming environment for participants and their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome participants and caregivers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Assist with planning, organizing, and facilitating daily activities and special events.
- Collaborate on monthly activity calendars and program schedules.
- Track participant attendance and engagement.
- Maintain activity spaces and ensure supplies and materials are organized.
- Manage inventory and coordinate ordering of program supplies.
- Provide snack and meal support and assist participants as needed.
- Assist participants with toileting reminders and accompaniment when appropriate.
- Perform administrative duties including filing, copying, scanning, data entry, and document management.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews of participant records, assessments, evaluations, and demographic information.
- Maintain confidentiality of participant, medical, and organizational information in accordance with HIPAA requirements.
- Respond to telephone, email, and in-person inquiries.
- Participate in required training and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to use email, internet applications, and office technology.
- Ability to multitask and work effectively in a busy environment.
Preferred
- Experience working with older adults, individuals with dementia, or participants in adult day services.
- Three or more years of experience in adult day care, assisted living, memory care, or a related setting.
- Bilingual (Spanish/English) candidates are encouraged to apply.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and perform routine office tasks throughout the workday.
· Ability to work both indoors and outdoors as program activities require.
