The CREC Academy of Computer Science & Engineering is seeking an innovative, creative, and collaborative leader to serve as a Dean of Students. As the Dean, the candidate would lead proactive initiatives in developing a positive culture of high expectations among students, staff, and families. Additional responsibilities for the Dean would include:
- Supporting culture and climate initiatives including restorative practices
- Addressing student disciplinary issues
- Collaborating with administration, student management staff, student support staff, and teachers to support school goals.
- Manage and analyze student behavior data trends
- Participate in grade-level team meetings
- Assist in developing tiered behavioral intervention strategies including behavior intervention plans.
- Attend and supervise after-school and community events
- Chaperone day and overnight field trips
Candidates must hold a valid CT Teacher Certification and CT 092 Certification. Previous experience in behavior management and special education programming is preferred. The qualified candidate will be mission-driven, highly motivated, possess a strong work ethic and strong communication skills, and have experience in working with high school students and a student data management system.
