Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our medical staff and ensuring high-quality patient care in a private practice setting. This position requires a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, as well as the ability to work effectively in both inpatient and outpatient environments, including OB-GYN clinics.
Duties
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs and medical histories.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by physicians.
- Perform basic life support when necessary and assist with emergency procedures.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Schedule appointments, manage patient flow, and ensure efficient clinic operations.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and preventive care strategies.
- Uphold cleanliness and safety standards within the clinic or hospital environment.
- Additional duties may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant in a OB/GYN office is required.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and basic life support techniques is essential.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory.
- Fulfills environmental responsibilities as assigned that may include setting up instruments and equipment according to department protocols; cleaning exam/procedure rooms, instruments, and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; and restocking exam/procedure rooms.
- Must be able to pass background checks as required by healthcare regulations.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
