Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technician to join our team. This position requires a Valid Driver's License, Proof of Insurance, Experience with Intellectual Developmental Disability. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring their safety and well-being while assisting with therapeutic activities. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to implement treatment plans and contribute to the overall care of patients.
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans for patients, focusing on behavioral health needs.
- Monitor patient behavior and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide support in crisis intervention situations, ensuring the safety of all patients.
- Engage patients in therapeutic activities and promote social interaction.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient progress.
- Administer medications as prescribed, adhering to medical terminology and protocols.
- Collect data on patient behavior and responses to treatment for ongoing assessment.
- Collaborate with social workers and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License, Proof of Insurance, Experience with Intellectual Developmental Disability,
- Experience in behavioral health settings or working with individuals on the autism spectrum is preferred.
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis techniques is a plus.
- Familiarity with medical records management and medical terminology is essential.
- Previous experience in medication administration is highly desirable.
- Strong data collection skills to monitor patient progress effectively.
- Experience working with children in a mental health capacity is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
