Job Summary
Froso’s Family Dining is looking for a welcoming, organized Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests in Soldotna. You will manage the front door, coordinate seating, and set the tone for an exceptional dining experience. The ideal candidate has a warm personality, excellent organizational skills, and can keep the lobby running smoothly during busy summer rushes.
Core Responsibilities
- Guest Greeting: Welcome guests warmly as they enter, quote accurate wait times, and escort them to their tables.
- Seating Management: Track open tables, manage the waitlist, and rotate seating fairly among server sections to keep the kitchen steady.
- Phone & Reservations: Answer phone calls promptly to take reservations, handle takeout orders, and answer basic restaurant questions.
- Lobby Maintenance: Keep the entrance, host stand, and menus clean, sanitized, and organized throughout the shift.
- Team Assistance: Help the front-of-house team by wiping down tables, resetting chairs, and communicating guest needs to servers.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Customer service or restaurant experience preferred, but we will train the right friendly personality.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal communication, active listening, and a professional phone demeanor.
- Organization: Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Food Safety: Must possess or obtain a valid Alaska DEC Food Worker Card within 30 days of hire.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk at the front door for shifts lasting 4–8 hours.
Pay: From $14.00 per hour
