Are you currently caring for a relative or friend who has the Indiana PathWays for Aging Waiver?
Greater Destiny Home Care, LLC may be able to help you get paid for providing care and assistance to your loved one or friend through their approved waiver services.
IMPORTANT: The person receiving care MUST already have the Indiana PathWays for Aging Waiver.
Greater Destiny Home Care, LLC services individuals throughout the entire state of Indiana.
Who This Is For
This opportunity may be a good fit if:
- You are currently helping care for a family member, relative, or friend.
- The person receiving care already has the Indiana PathWays for Aging Waiver.
- You would like to become a paid caregiver for your relative or friend.
- You are willing to complete Greater Destiny Home Care, LLC’s employment and caregiver requirements.
Caregiver Requirements
Applicants must:
- Be an Indiana resident
- Be at least 18 years of age
- Be physically and mentally capable of performing caregiving responsibilities
- Pass a required background check
- Complete all required employment paperwork and caregiver training
- Follow the individual’s authorized service plan and Greater Destiny Home Care, LLC policies
Caregiver Responsibilities May Include
Depending on the individual’s approved service plan:
- Assistance with bathing, dressing, grooming, and other activities of daily living
- Meal preparation
- Light housekeeping
- Mobility and transfer assistance
- Companionship and supervision
- Assistance with errands and other approved non-medical needs
- Helping the individual maintain independence and safely remain at home

.Experience
- Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of patient care techniques including patient monitoring, vital signs measurement, medication administration, and manual handling procedures such as Hoyer lifts.
- Experience supporting individuals with dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities or developmental disabilities enhances your ability to provide empathetic care.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations ensures confidentiality and respectful treatment of all residents’ information.
- Proven ability to assist with ADLs and personal care tasks while maintaining dignity and respect for clients’ independence.
- Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and teamwork within multidisciplinary settings.
- Certification in CPR or First Aid is advantageous; ongoing training in hospice care or geriatrics is a plus.

Pay: $16.62 - $17.18 per hour
