ACTIVITIES ASSISTANT - Part-Time
Summary of Position:
Assist with planning and facilitating activities and events for lodge guests, creating fun and memorable experiences while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative and clerical services that contribute to the achievement of guest satisfaction.
- As directed, input information into the database of event planners and assist with prospect mailings.
- Data enter specific event information into the point-of-sale system and generate reports as requested.
- Assist with the production and distribution of promotional brochures.
- Obtain information on upcoming guest reservations and send event information via email prior to arrival.
- Respond appropriately to requests for tickets and other assistance.
- Greet and maintain rapport with customers, maintaining a positive image and promoting the Lodge to current and potential customers.
- Develop strong working relationships and ongoing communication with other departments to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Assist in the preparation and processing of invoices for group events, as well as check requests for destination vendors.
- Answer questions from guests, event planners and vendors.
Requirements:
- High school diploma.
- Strong computer skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Access (or other database software), web and publishing software.
- Demonstrated success in teamwork and customer service.
- People-oriented, with an upbeat and positive attitude, in person and by phone.
- Demonstrated high level of detail orientation, organization, and time management.
- At least two years of experience in administrative support positions.
- Experience in public contact positions essential.
- Must be able to sit, walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be willing to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed.
