Job Description:
The Warehouse Specialist will be responsible for operating a forklift (see certification requirements below), unloading and/or loading palletized and non-palletized merchandise as a team, ability to cross-train within the warehouse to support volume and staffing needs, maintain safety compliance, good quality and a positive attitude. Employees will report directly to the Outbound Supervisor or Inbound Supervisor depending on assigned department at time of hire.
Job Requirements:
· Operate forklift to pull merchandise for shipments according to schedule provided by the Outbound Supervisor.
· Operate forklift to store incoming merchandise, consolidate, and unload from containers according to schedule provided by the Inbound Supervisor.
· Operate forklift to load merchandise on outgoing truckloads and/or off-loading incoming containers/truckloads within 2 hours or less.
· Ability to navigate WMS hand-held scanner to complete picks, put-away and/or consolidation.
· Assist the leadership team, including General Manager, on various projects as needed.
· Follow all safety manual requirements, PPE requirements, company policies and procedures.
Job Qualifications Include:
· Ability to listen, comprehend and follow directions from Supervisors, Team Leads and/or General Manager.
· Must be certified to operate forklift (will provide training internally if required)
· Required to lift to 45lbs using proper safety equipment
· Punctual and dependable
High School diploma or equivalent
