Pay Rate: $30/hr.
Fairfield Landscaping is seeking a skilled and reliable Mechanic to support the daily maintenance and repair of our vehicles and landscaping equipment. This hands-on role is essential to keeping our operations safe, efficient, and moving year-round.
Perform day-to-day mechanical maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on company vehicles and small/large equipment. Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, road service support, parts ordering, and shop safety compliance.
- Diagnose, repair, and maintain trucks, trailers, and landscaping equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance, tire repair, welding, and small engine work
- Respond to road service calls and coordinate towing as needed
- Order parts and maintain accurate service records
- Assist crews with equipment, loading/unloading, and snow removal operations
- Follow all safety policies and maintain a clean, organized shop
- 1-5 years of mechanical or equipment maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of automotive and small-engine repair
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Valid driver's license or CDL (DOT medical card required/obtainable)
- Technical training or equivalent hands-on experience preferred
- Lift 50-100 lbs regularly
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Stand, kneel, bend, climb, and work in tight spaces as needed
