Hospice & Palliative Care Physician
Missouri Baptist Medical Center is seeking a Hospice & Palliative Care Physician to join an established, highly collaborative interdisciplinary team. This opportunity is ideal for a clinician-educator who enjoys teaching Internal Medicine residents, leading complex goals-of-care conversations, and helping shape the future of palliative medicine within a respected regional health system.
This is a replacement position due to a planned retirement, offering exceptional continuity, strong institutional support, and the opportunity to step into a well-established practice with immediate impact.
- Established inpatient palliative care program
- Direct teaching and supervision of Internal Medicine residents
- Dedicated support from APPs, social workers, and chaplaincy
- Close partnership with BJC Hospice for seamless continuity of care

Overview
BJC Home Care offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs.

Role Purpose
Ensures optimal care and promotes safety of patients admitted to assigned service in cooperation with the private attending staff and nursing staff. Communicates with staff, patients, and families.
Responsibilities
- Manages the medical care of assigned patients.
- Collaborates with patients, families, and members of the health care team to ensure excellent clinical outcomes.
- Performs and documents histories and physicals in the patient's medical record as required by hospital by-laws.
- Supervises and instructs medical students and residents assigned to service. Assists in the learning needs of residents and students as assessed.
