Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated SAT ELA (Evidence-Based Reading and Writing) Teacher to join our educational team. In this role, you will inspire high school students to excel in their SAT preparation by delivering engaging, comprehensive, and personalized instruction in English language arts. Duties
- Deliver engaging SAT ELA lessons that cover reading comprehension, writing strategies, and essay development tailored to individual student needs
- Develop and implement customized lesson plans aligned with test preparation course standards and curriculum guidelines
- Provide clear guidance on SAT evidence-based reading and writing sections, including time management and question analysis techniques
- Utilize online tutoring platforms and educational technology tools to facilitate interactive lessons and track student progress
- Offer ACT preparation guidance as an additional resource for students aiming to improve their overall standardized test scores
- Assess student performance regularly through practice tests and provide constructive feedback to foster continuous improvement
- Manage classroom or virtual learning environments effectively, maintaining high levels of engagement and motivation among students
Skills
- Proven experience working with high school students in test preparation or classroom settings, especially in English language arts or related subjects
- Strong knowledge of SAT ELA content, including reading comprehension strategies, grammar rules, essay writing, and test-taking skills tutoring
- Experience with online tutoring platforms and integrating educational technology into lesson delivery
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively
- Skilled in lesson planning, curriculum development, classroom management, and adapting instruction for diverse learning needs including special education students
- Familiarity with ACT preparation tutoring and guidance techniques for standardized testing success
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with colleagues to enhance instructional practices
- Demonstrated commitment to working with teenagers and fostering a positive learning environment that encourages growth and confidence
