Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the procurement process, ensuring that all purchasing activities align with the company's strategic goals. You will play a critical role in negotiating contracts, managing supplier relationships, and optimizing supply chain processes to enhance operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prepares and issues Requests for Quotation to qualified bidders. Analyzes bid quotations for responsiveness to Requests for Quotations, evaluating factors such as commercial terms and conditions, price, delivery, financial status, technical capability, quality control, and geographical location of shipping point.
- Identify, evaluate, and establish relationships with suppliers.
- Collaborate with the operations and finance teams to align procurement activities with company goals and project requirements.
- Prepares Bid/Price analysis summary.
- Maintains accurate records of all procurement activities, including purchase orders, contracts, and supplier communications.
- Negotiates pricing, commercial terms and conditions in line with company policies and procedures to secure the best pricing and service guarantees.
- Sets up new vendors with accounting including establishing payment terms, ship to locations & invoicing.
- Ensures that contractual requirements are met by suppliers/vendors and required documents such as reports, insurance certificates, etc., as applicable are received in a timely manner.
- Tracking and coordinating material shipments from vendors to consolidation/freight forwarders ensuring timely delivery.
- Coordinating with site team to replace any damaged or missing materials.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Proven experience of 3-5 years in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in a senior role and specific to the construction industry.
- Experience with evaluating requirements for material procurements in support of government Prime Contract, including FAR flow-downs, special requirements, and performance work statement
- Strong skills in contract negotiation, price analysis, and contract management.
- Familiarity with MRP systems and supply chain processes.
- Proficient in Viewpoint or similar ERP software for procurement activities.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to conduct root cause analysis effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to build relationships across various levels of the organization.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
