After-School Youth Development Coach (Soccer)

Compensation: $20.00–$25.00 per coaching hour

Coaching Opportunities
Coaching opportunities are currently available Monday–Friday between 12:30 PM and 4:00 PM during after-school program hours.
Independent coaches choose which coaching assignments they wish to accept based on their availability. Ongoing coaching opportunities may be available throughout the school year at one or more school sites, subject to program needs and mutual agreement.

First Touch Coaching partners with AYSO PLAY! to deliver high-quality after-school soccer and youth development programs throughout San Diego County.
We are seeking energetic, dependable and positive Youth Development Coaches who enjoy working with children and are passionate about helping students build confidence, teamwork, resilience and a lifelong love of physical activity.
You do not need to be an experienced soccer coach—we are looking for individuals who can confidently lead and engage elementary-aged students in a fun, safe and supportive environment.
What You'll Do
- Deliver fun, engaging soccer and youth development sessions.
- Foster a safe, inclusive and positive environment for TK–6th grade students.
- Encourage teamwork, confidence, sportsmanship and social development.
- Build positive working relationships with school staff and program partners.
- Maintain professional communication and fulfil accepted coaching assignments reliably.

Required Qualifications
The following clearances or certifications may be required depending on the assigned school site:
- Live Scan background clearance
- TB clearance (required for certain school sites)
- CPR certification
