Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Manufacturing Automation Technician to join our innovative manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and optimizing automated manufacturing equipment and robotic systems to ensure seamless production processes. Your expertise will drive efficiency improvements, uphold quality standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
Responsibilities:
- Install, calibrate, and maintain automated manufacturing equipment, including sensors, PLC, and system boards.
- Maintain detailed documentation of maintenance activities, system configurations, and calibration records for compliance purposes.
- Follow safety regulations and protocols, and provide proactively.
- Conduct routine inspections of hydraulic systems, low voltage and high voltage electrical components, and sensors to prevent downtime.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment problems. Able to fix electrical circuits, sensors, and control systems.
- Implement upgrades and modifications to improve system performance and functionality.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years of mechanical experience related to manufacturing equipment with sensors, hydraulic, PLC, and electrical systems
- Hands-on experience with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), distributed control systems (DCS), and Calypso automation software
- Manual machining and metal fabrication skills
- Comfortably able to read engineering drawings
- Able to document both daily activities and progress with longer-term projects
- Highly desired but not required: 1) LabVIEW programming, 2) Basic CNC/Machining expertise, 3) Ability to operate a forklift when required
Position Key Highlights
- Position requires to be on-site: 300 South Cochran Willis, Texas 77378
- This position provides direct support to the operations team during production hours. This position supports 1st Shift. Shift Schedule: 1st Shift, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, and 2nd Shift, 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, as needed.
- Authorization to work in the US is required
Pay: $29.40 - $38.00 per hour
