The Putnam County Highway Department is accepting applications for Truck Drivers to join our team and help maintain safe and reliable county roads.
Job Duties Include:
*Operating heavy trucks and occasionally light vehicles
*Hauling materials for road maintenance and repair projects
*Durapatching and hand patching
*Operating paving equipment and other highway maintenance equipment
*Mowing roadsides and rights-of-way
*Assisting with general road maintenance activities
*Performing basic vehicle and equipment maintenance checks
*Working safely under all weather conditions
*Various Manual Labor Activities
Requirements: Valid Indiana CDL License (Class B or higher)
Ability to safely operate trucks and highway equipment
Ability to follow direction and work effectively with supervisors and crew members
Must be available for snow call, winter weather operations, extended hours, and overtime as needed
