Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled foods, including breakfast, bagels, burgers, chicken, and vegetables, ensuring high-quality standards are met.
- Assemble and serve deli products such as sandwiches, salads, and cold cuts with precision and attention to detail.
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety by following sanitizing procedures and proper food handling protocols at all times.
- Assist in menu planning to offer appealing options that meet dietary needs and customer preferences.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely, including grills, knives, poaching utensils, braising pots, and food production tools.
- Support high-volume food production during peak hours while maintaining consistency in taste and presentation.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service delivery and uphold the restaurant’s standards of culinary excellence.
Experience
- Previous dietary department or dietary aide experience is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated culinary experience in fine dining or high-volume restaurant settings.
- Strong knowledge of food safety management, sanitizing procedures, and proper food handling techniques.
- Skilled in various cooking methods such as grilling, braising, poaching, and food preparation techniques.
- Excellent knife skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with menu planning, catering services, and meal preparation is a plus.
- Familiarity with the food industry standards for quality control and customer service excellence.
