Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Plasterer/Painter to apply protective cementitious coatings, stucco systems, specialty finishes and concrete surfaces. This role focuses on durability, corrosion resistance, and high-performance finishes in demanding environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply cementitious coatings, stucco, plaster, and fireproofing materials to metal, concrete, and composite substrates
- Prepare industrial surfaces through sandblasting, grinding, pressure washing, or chemical cleaning
- Mix and apply materials to proper specifications for thickness, adhesion, and durability
- Install lath, mesh, or reinforcement materials for industrial coating systems
- Apply multi-coat systems (scratch, brown, finish) or specialty coatings for corrosion protection
- Repair damaged coatings, cracks, and structural surface defects
- Work on a variety of components including:
- Metal structures and frames
- Pumps, piping, and industrial equipment
- Operate spray equipment, mixers, and hand tools (trowels, hawks, floats)
- Follow project specs, technical data sheets (TDS), and safety data sheets (SDS)
- Ensure proper curing, finishing, and inspection of coated surfaces
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA standards
- Painting experience is preferred
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in stucco, plastering, or troweled on coatings
- 2+ years of experience painting (industrial coatings preferred)
- Experience working with cementitious or protective coatings in industrial or marine environments preferred
- Knowledge of surface prep standards (SSPC/NACE is a plus)
- Ability to work with various substrates including steel, aluminum, and concrete
- Comfortable working in industrial settings, including confined spaces or at heights
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Valid driver’s license and transportation required

- Ability to achieve consistent thickness and high-quality finishes
- Familiarity with corrosion protection systems and coatings

- Ability to read and follow technical specifications and blueprints

Work Environment
- Industrial facilities - Outdoors
- Exposure to dust, chemicals, high temperatures, and noise
- Use of PPE including respirators, Tyvek suits, gloves, and eye protection
- Work may include heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
