We are looking for a Retail Sales Associate to provide excellent customer service. This position will start out as an hourly position. We will consider full-time salary with benefits after 3 months. Candidates with strong communication skills who can make customers feel welcome in our store will stand out. You will help identify customer needs, present and answer questions about our products and help customers navigate our showroom. There is some moderate lifting and, at times, you could be on your feet for extended periods of time. We sell law enforcement equipment, so we only hire employees who respect law enforcement and military and are not afraid of the presence of firearms.
Responsibilities
- Greet and direct customers
- Provide accurate information (e.g. product features and pricing)
- Answer customers’ questions about specific products
- Conduct price and feature comparisons to facilitate purchasing
- Cross-sell products
- Ensure racks are fully stocked
- Manage returns of merchandise
- Coordinate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to provide excellent customer service (especially during peak times)
- Inform customers about discounts and special offers
- Provide customer feedback to the Store Manager
- Stay up-to-date with new products/services
Skills
- Proven work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate or similar role
- Understanding of the retail sales process
- Familiarity with consumer behavior principles
- Basic math skills
- Excellent communication skills, capable of building trusting relationships
- Ability to perform in fast-paced environments
- High school degree
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
