Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled CDL Truck Operator to join our dynamic g team. In this vital role, you will operate a knuckle boom crane—also known as an articulating crane—to lift, move, and position heavy materials efficiently and safely across sites, warehouses, and yards. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations, timely deliveries, and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities
- Operate the knuckle boom crane with precision to lift, lower, and position materials such as roofing, lumber, siding or machinery on sites or within warehouse facilities.
- Conduct thorough pre-operation inspections of the crane and associated equipment to ensure safety and functionality before each use.
- Rig loads securely using appropriate techniques to prevent shifting or falling during transport or placement.
- Coordinate with team members to plan lifting sequences, ensuring efficient workflow and safety compliance.
- Handle materials using other heavy equipment as needed for loading and unloading shipments.
- Maintain accurate records of all lifts, inspections, and maintenance activities in compliance with safety regulations.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures diligently to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment for yourself and colleagues.
Experience
- Proven experience operating knuckle boom cranes or similar heavy equipment in construction or industrial settings.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of cranes, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and boom trucks.
- Hands-on experience with rigging techniques for secure load handling.
- Background in construction site operations or warehouse environments involving shipping & receiving activities.
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) preferred for driving associated vehicles; experience with commercial driving is a plus.
- Familiarity with materials handling procedures, safety standards, and heavy equipment maintenance practices.
- Prior work involving construction projects or logistics operations that require precise coordination of multiple types of machinery.
