Maintenance Technician

We are a growing company, focused on innovative manufacturing of high-quality products in several sectors. We are therefore looking for a hardworking and organized Maintenance Technician.
Job Summary:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of equipment within a spray drying manufacturing facility. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical, electrical, and process systems associated with spray drying operations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of spray dryers, pumps, motors, conveyors, and related processing equipment
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems to minimize downtime
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance according to scheduled plans
- Monitor and maintain critical systems such as heating units, fans, cyclones, baghouses, and control systems
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and implement corrective actions
- Ensure proper operation of PLCs and control systems (experience preferred)
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, logs, and documentation
- Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and efficiency
- Follow all safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, etc.)
- Assist with installation and commissioning of new equipment
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and cost reduction
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree preferred
- 2+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (spray drying or food/pharma processing preferred)
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and industrial equipment
- Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting and industrial controls
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in high-temperature environments and around industrial machinery
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb for extended periods
Preferred Skills and Competencies:
- Experience with spray drying systems or similar thermal processing equipment
- Knowledge of food safety standards (e.g., GMP, HACCP) if applicable.
- Welding and fabrication skills are a plus
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Computer Skills.
- Comfortable working in high-temperature environments and around industrial machinery
Working Conditions
- Industrial manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, noise, dust, and chemicals
