Responsibilities
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, polishing, and fluoride treatments to ensure optimal oral health.
- Conduct patient assessments by reviewing medical histories, vital signs, and current dental conditions to develop personalized care plans.
- Take and interpret dental radiographs (X-rays) using dental imaging equipment while maintaining strict infection prevention protocols.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices, preventive care, and post-treatment instructions to foster lifelong healthy habits.
- Assist dentists during procedures with chairside support, ensuring smooth workflow through four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation within electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft or Dentrix.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations by maintaining patient confidentiality and practicing infection control standards using aseptic techniques.
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Dental Hygienist in a fast-paced dental office or clinic environment.
- Familiarity with dental software systems like open dental.
- Strong knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, and general dentistry procedures.
- Demonstrated competence in medical terminology, dental records management, and understanding of healthcare infection prevention protocols.
- Ability to perform dental assisting tasks such as chairside support during various procedures while maintaining high standards of infection control.
- Excellent communication skills for client education and team collaboration to ensure a positive patient experience.

Pay: $47.11 - $49.25 per hour
