You won’t just be protecting a campus—you’ll be safeguarding a home and fostering a welcoming, secure environment where people thrive.
From the moment you step onto our campus, you become a trusted presence—someone who brings a sense of security and reassurance to everyone who calls Willamette View home. You’ll patrol our buildings and grounds, keeping a watchful eye to ensure everything is safe and secure. Whether offering a safety escort to a resident, responding to an emergency, or coordinating with fire, EMS, and law enforcement, you’ll be the calm, professional presence people rely on.
You’ll also play a key role behind the scenes, responding to maintenance emergencies and handling security checks that prevent potential issues before they arise. Every action you take helps uphold our commitment to providing a safe, welcoming environment where our community can thrive. This is a full time position, Friday-Sunday from 7am-7pm.

Training & Certifications at No Cost – If you don’t already have a DPSST Unarmed Private Security Professional certification or CPR/First Aid/BLS training, we’ll provide it upon hire.

High School Diploma or GED.
-
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Ability to interact effectively with diverse backgrounds; Relays detailed information efficiently and accurately.

Basic computer proficiency (word processing & reporting software).

Independent judgment and quick decision-making.

Ability to develop strong understanding of applicable Oregon Revised Statutes and Federal laws, as well as to learn and follow administrative policies, procedures, and orders.

Strong multitasking and prioritization skills; Able to give and follow direction.

Ability to identify and report safety/security concerns immediately.

Proficiency in operating CCTV systems.

Strong written skills for detailed incident reports.

Ability to research and recommend security improvements.
Preferred Qualifications and Experience

Additional training, education, or military experience.

Experience in law enforcement, security, or emergency management, particularly in healthcare.

Ability to manage challenging or emergency scenarios, including people in crisis or with cognitive issues.

Multilingual proficiency (Spanish, Vietnamese, Chinese, Russian).

Valid driver’s license with a record demonstrating safe habit and respect for law.

DPSST Unarmed Security Professional Certification.

First Aid/CPR/AED certified (or willing to obtain within 6 months).
