Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to handle refrigerated trailers.
Duties
- Operate a refrigerated semi truck and 53' trailer
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and securing of freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Navigate routes effectively, using maps or GPS systems, while maintaining delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of driving hours and vehicle maintenance.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding any delays or issues encountered during transportation.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while on the road.
Experience
Candidates should possess the following skills and experience:
- Proven experience in truck driving.
- Familiarity with refrigerated transportation.
- Experience in route driving and delivery driver roles is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts for loading and unloading purposes is a plus.
- Strong understanding of freight handling procedures and safety regulations in commercial driving.
