Eldreth Law Firm, PLLC is seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing litigation practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. We are looking for an attorney who is eager to build a successful litigation career while serving individuals, families, and businesses throughout North Carolina.
The successful candidate will handle a broad range of civil litigation matters, including business disputes, contract litigation, construction disputes, probate litigation, and other general civil matters. While we welcome applicants with prior litigation experience, we are equally interested in motivated attorneys with 0–2 years of experience who are ready to take ownership of cases and develop their courtroom skills.
Responsibilities
The Associate Attorney will:
- Manage litigation matters from initial consultation through resolution.
- Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests and responses, and other litigation documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda.
- Take and defend depositions.
- Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trials.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, experts, and the courts.
- Develop litigation strategy in collaboration with firm attorneys.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and responsiveness while delivering outstanding client service.
- Participate in business development and community involvement, although client generation is encouraged rather than required.
Qualifications
Applicants must:
- Be licensed and in good standing to practice law in North Carolina.
- Reside within commuting distance of Raleigh or be willing to relocate.
- Possess excellent legal research, writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills.
- Demonstrate strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Be capable of managing multiple deadlines and a diverse caseload.
- Exhibit sound judgment, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Prior litigation experience is preferred but not required. We are committed to mentoring attorneys who demonstrate initiative, sound judgment, and a desire to become outstanding litigators.
Billable Expectations
This position has an annual billable hour expectation of 1,500 hours, allowing attorneys to maintain a healthy balance between client work, professional development, and personal time while still building a successful litigation practice.

Work Environment
This is a full-time, in-office position located in Raleigh, North Carolina. Our office hours are Monday through Friday with flexibility as required by court schedules and client needs.
