This entry-level role is perfect for someone with basic automotive, small engine, or mechanical knowledge who’s eager to learn and grow in a stable, high-demand industry.
What You’ll Do:
- Travel to customer sites to inspect backup generators and related equipment
- Learn to identify and diagnose common problems with power generation systems
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, coolant checks, and battery testing
- Assist senior techs with repairs and more complex jobs
- Learn how to read schematics, use diagnostic tools, and properly test equipment
- Maintain accurate service records and communicate findings clearly to the team
- Follow all safety protocols and keep your workspace and tools clean
What You Bring:
- Basic mechanical knowledge (automotive, small engine, HVAC, or similar)
- Strong work ethic and desire to grow in a skilled trade
- Ability to work independently, manage your time, and solve problems on the go
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Willingness to work outdoors and occasionally travel
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical work
