Overview
Looking for an enthusiastic, dependable part-time Bartender. First 30 days are on a volunteer basis
Duties
- Prepare and serve beverages accurately and efficiently, including cocktails, spirits, beers, and non-alcoholic options
- Engage with guests in a friendly, professional manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area in compliance with food safety standards and health regulations
- Manage POS system for order processing and cash handling
- Monitor guest consumption responsibly, adhering to alcohol service laws and policies
- Restock bar supplies promptly to ensure smooth service
- Handle cash transactions accurately using retail math skills; process payments via POS systems and provide correct change
- Uphold food safety standards by practicing proper food handling techniques when serving food or snacks alongside beverages
- Assist with setup and breakdown of bar areas for special events or nightly closing procedures
Qualifications
- Experience preferred but not required
- Familiarity with POS systems; basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations
- Strong customer service skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to manage time effectively
- Experience with serving alcohol responsibly in accordance with legal requirements; knowledge of alcohol laws is preferred
- Excellent communication skills; ability to work collaboratively within a team
Pay: $2.25 - $3.00 per hour
