We are a vibrant, wonderfully diverse elementary school proud to serve a rich community of families, including a high population of immigrants and English Learners (ELs). We believe our diversity is our greatest strength. Our staff is dedicated to creating an inclusive, equity-driven environment where every culture is celebrated, and every child feels a deep sense of belonging. We operate on the fundamental belief that all students can learn, achieve, and thrive when given the right support, representation, and care.
We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and culturally responsive Elementary PE Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will do so much more than teach sports and games—you will shape the very foundation of a child’s lifelong health and wellness journey.
Because we believe in educating the whole child, collaboration is at the heart of what we do. Our PE and Music departments work hand-in-hand, particularly on integrated units that merge music, rhythm, and movement. Furthermore, we are looking for a true team player who is eager to support the broader school community by pushing into classrooms during off-blocks to facilitate small groups and support classroom teachers. If you are a collaborative educator who loves creating a dynamic, language-rich, and physically active environment for a diverse student body, we want you on our team.
-
Inclusive Instructional Delivery: Design and implement a high-quality, sequential PE and health curriculum that accommodates all fitness levels, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.

-
Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Partner closely with the Music Teacher to co-plan and deliver integrated units focusing on music, rhythm, and creative movement.
-
Instructional Push-In Support: Use designated non-instructional blocks to push into academic classrooms, assisting teachers and leading small-group interventions or activities to support student learning.
-
Foster a Growth Mindset: Cultivate a positive, safe, and supportive gym environment rooted in the belief that every student can succeed, emphasizing personal growth over competition.
-
Promote Lifelong Wellness: Inspire students to develop healthy habits, understanding of nutrition, and a genuine love for physical activity that will sustain them through adulthood.
-
Community Engagement: Build strong, respectful relationships with our diverse families and participate in school-wide cultural and community events.
-

-
Equity-Minded Educator: A deep, demonstrated commitment to educational equity and the unwavering belief that all students can learn.
