Youth Development Professional
Part-Time, Seasonal | $15.00/hour | Monday–Friday, 2:00 PM–7:00 PM
About the Role:
The Youth Development Professional works directly with kids and teens in our after-school programs, helping them build confidence, stay on track academically, and grow socially in a safe, supportive environment. This is a hands-on, front-line role — you'll be running activities, helping with homework, mentoring, and keeping the club running smoothly during program hours.
Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED

Must be 18 or older

Experience working with kids or teens (paid or volunteer) preferred, but not required

Reliable and punctual — able to work 2:00–7:00 PM, Monday–Friday

Ability to pass background check, CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in a school, camp, or youth program setting

Bilingual abilities

Interest in sports, arts, STEM, or academic tutoring
Responsibilities:

Supervise and engage youth participants during structured activities (homework help, games, arts, sports, etc.)

Build positive, trusting relationships with members

Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming club environment

Support daily attendance and program documentation

Work with site staff to keep activities running on schedule

Address behavior and safety concerns calmly and consistently

Communicate with parents/guardians as needed

Strong communication and patience with kids, ability to manage a group, reliability, and a genuine interest in helping youth succeed.
