Duties
- Lead and supervise the dental office team, including administrative staff, hygienists, and clinical personnel, ensuring high performance and morale
- Oversee fiscal management, including budgeting, billing, coding, and financial reporting to optimize revenue cycles
- Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or Epic to ensure accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Coordinate medical administrative support functions like patient scheduling, records management, and insurance verification using EMR/EHR systems
- Ensure adherence to healthcare policies, safety standards, and health regulation policies such as JCAHO requirements and HIPAA compliance
- Monitor clinic operations to improve efficiency, patient satisfaction, and overall practice performance
- Handle human resources responsibilities including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and conflict resolution within the team
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing a medical or dental office with strong supervisory skills in healthcare settings
- Extensive knowledge of medical office management practices including billing, coding (Managed care), and financial management
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Eaglesoft, Dentrix, eClinicalWorks, or Epic; experience with electronic health records management is essential
- Familiarity with healthcare regulations like HIPAA, JCAHO standards, and health policy compliance
- Strong understanding of medical terminology, medical records management, and acute care or hospital experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively while managing budgets and operational workflows
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient-centered service delivery
