Job Overview
Join our dynamic logistics team as an Intermodal Dispatcher, you'll be coordinating freight movements across multiple transportation modes. As an Intermodal Dispatcher, you'll play a vital part to use your expertise in transportation management systems and analysis skills. Duties
- Coordinate between drivers, co-workers, and rails to schedule and dispatch container shipments.
- Utilize transportation management systems such as Profit Tools, plan routes, and track shipments
- Monitor GPS to track vehicle locations and optimize dispatching decisions in real-time.
- Manage shipping & receiving documentation, freight manifests, and delivery schedules to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Analyze transportation data to identify inefficiencies or delays and implement corrective actions promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience with transportation management systems such as Profit Tools, use of a live google doc, and disc mobile.
- Strong knowledge of GPS technology and the ability to be proactive to ensure the customers are notified of any delays and that the drivers do not have excessive downtown.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Demonstrated analysis skills for troubleshooting shipment issues and optimizing freight routes.
- Familiarity with freight shipping & receiving procedures, and rail operations.
- Proficiency in data entry, typing accuracy, portals, and rail tracing.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
