Tugboat Mate – Dredging Operations
Location: East & Gulf Coast Operations
Pay: $725/day

Position Summary
This is an opportunity for an experienced Mate of Towing to join a well-established marine construction and dredging company. The Mate assists the Captain with the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of the tugboat while supporting dredging and marine construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Stand navigational watches and assist with safe vessel navigation.
- Assist the Captain with docking, undocking, maneuvering, and towing operations.
- Oversee deck activities and towing operations.
- Support dredging and marine construction operations.
- Supervise and direct deck crew as assigned.
- Conduct vessel inspections and help maintain operational readiness.
- Ensure compliance with company safety procedures, environmental requirements, and applicable USCG regulations.
- Assist with emergency response and drills.
- Maintain accurate vessel and watch documentation.
- Promote a strong safety culture aboard the vessel.
Qualifications
- Valid USCG Mate of Towing credential/license.
- Appropriate towing endorsements for the vessel/route.
- Valid TWIC.
- Valid USCG Medical Certificate.
- Previous tugboat and towing experience.
- Strong vessel-handling, navigation, and crew-leadership skills.
- Dredging or marine construction experience is highly preferred.
- Ability to work a rotational vessel schedule and travel as operations require.
