Responsibilities
Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in PACU, monitoring vitals and recovery status.
Assess patient condition post-anesthesia and recognize complications promptly.
Adhere to hospital protocols, safety standards, and infection control procedures.
Maintain readiness for emergencies with rapid response and resuscitation skills.
Collaborate with surgical team to ensure safe anesthesia recovery plans.
Document patient recovery progress and update electronic health records accurately.
Support a performance-driven environment by tracking recovery metrics and outcomes.
Communicate clearly with patients and families about recovery expectations and care plan.
Demonstrate initiative for professional development and seek opportunities for skill advancement.
Assist in preoperative planning as needed to optimize PACU workflow.
Participate in shift handoffs ensuring seamless transitions of care.
Support teamwork by sharing knowledge and mentoring junior staff where appropriate.
Experience/Qualifications
Current RN license with active Oklahoma or applicable state licensure.
PACU nursing: minimum 3 years post-anesthesia recovery experience.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications with rapid response skills.
Proficient in vital signs monitoring and early complication recognition.
Strong documentation in electronic health records and recovery metrics.
Ability to perform in fast-paced, metrics-driven environment with clear KPIs.
Excellent communication with patients, families, and surgical team.
Team player willing to mentor junior staff and participate in workflow optimization.
Willingness to contribute to preoperative planning and PACU workflow improvements.
On-site availability for June start in Oklahoma within 1 hour of Tulsa.
