Duties
- Greet guests warmly, take accurate orders, and serve food and beverages promptly using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
- Assist in food preparation activities to ensure quality standards are met and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through effective suggestive selling techniques.
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling, cashiering, and processing payments efficiently.
- Maintain food safety and sanitation standards by adhering to proper food handling procedures, sanitation protocols, and cleanliness guidelines.
- Clear tables, bus tables (bussing), and assist with general restaurant maintenance to ensure a tidy environment.
- Support team members with basic math calculations for orders, bills, and inventory management in retail or grocery store settings if needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in food service or quick service & fast food restaurants is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus.
- Culinary experience or background in the food industry enhances your ability to excel in this role.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables or tasks efficiently during busy hours.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude that makes guests feel valued.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures.
- Experience with serving, cashiering, bussing, or retail math helps ensure smooth operations and accurate transactions.
